REVIEWS
We've had our hands on (and had loads of time for) some very exciting gadgets over the holiday season. The biggest gadget thrill was undoubtedly experienced by Mel Attree, as she got to fiddle with the new Samsung Galaxy S, and declared herself starry-eyed over this handset. Incidentally this smartphone is running the Android 2.1 Eclair operating system, and we look forward to reading Mel's In Depth Review to see if this phone is as delicious as it sounds. Jess Kuppan shares her first experiences with the Nokia N8 with us and her snapshot review of the N8 is guaranteed to have video/photo-bloggers drooling at the camera specs on this dynamite little handset.

We had ourselves a little gadgetpalooza this month and gave away some shiny toys.
On offer this week was:
- A BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone
- A Hewlett-Packard Photosmart All-In-One Printer
- Gaming and mobile accessories and software bundles from Phoenix Software.
And the winners of these prizes are....
@LaBetenoir won the BlackBerry Curve 3G and @musicalmover is the proud new owner of the awesome HP Photosmart AIO. Two software packages were won by @karendenny and @NickJ_Robson and they get to choose from Phoenix Software's wide range of Mac and Windows packages.
Winners will receive confirmation by email before the end of the week to arrange delivery of your prizes.

Hello and welcome to the first GirlGuides.co.za newsletter!
Thank you for taking the time to register on the site, we hope that Girl Guides will become your first port of call for all tech-related issues, reviews, guides and news.
These past few weeks have been very busy, in terms of working toward getting the site ready to come out of its public beta phase and we received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the concept - it was better (way better) than we ever could have anticipated. The criticism was all constructive, and all of the suggestions we've received have been implemented. We're pretty impressed with ourselves, and we hope you are too.
