I've been waiting excitedly to get my hands on one of these little beauties. I'm due for an upgrade in the MP3 player/iPod department so I was looking forward to helping myself choose between the millions of products out there.
The new nano is considerably smaller (and prettier) than its predecessor. Gone are the days of the click wheel, camera and mic. Oh no, this ultra modern, ultra small and ultra light gadget is a tiny, shiny little square with a touch screen, clip and 3 small little buttons. The very definition of simplicity...at first glance anyway.
As with all Apple products I had to go through the painful process of updating iTunes and updating the iPod software on my laptop before I could even remotely start setting it up and syncing playlists with it. But once this process was complete I spent an exciting couple of minutes setting up the ideal playlist to see what this iPod can do.
I'm looking forward to determining how practical the super tiny multi touch screen really is once the novelty has worn off, what the sound quality is like (because let's face it, it's all about the music) and how practical and durable the clip will be.
Let's see if this pretty little gadget can sell itself.
