After using and hating a Nokia handset for a few days because my Curve's trackball was giving me grief, I fell in love with the new BlackBerry before I'd even opened the box.
Blackberry Bold 9700 - Snapshot
Slightly chunkier than the Curve 8900, I noticed two immediate improvements: a bigger QWERTY keypad that's much more finger-friendly and a trackpad that works, the way the trackball doesn't.
Everything about the Bold is slightly slicker than the Curve and it's the small things that make it better: from threading e-mails and smses better, to a much faster browsing experience using 3G.
Another thing I noticed – the camera on the Curve is actually better than the one on the Bold – the autofocus is works better and is more efficient on the Curve. This could just be a case of me needing to fiddle more with the settings, but I'll get there eventually.
I can't wait for more hands-on time with this device and it's definitely going to be a sad day for me when I have to hand this baby over to someone else to review.
