HTC Wildfire S - Snapshot

First of all, you should really know, I’m an iPhone junkie – I have been for years and contrary to what many non-smartphone users might think, it’s a ridiculously user-friendly phone. I’m not ashamed to admit I was a little intimidated when I received the Wildfire S – an Android phone.

If you’re reading this and thinking; ‘what the eff is Android?’ then you’re not alone. I totally googled it, which is ironic.

What is Android?

It’s a mobile operating system (OS) developed by Google for smartphones. Kind of like Windows but for your phone that allows you to run (and download) applications, surf the internet and connect to your e-mail account to name a few things. That’s the short and sweet version. Okay? Good.

On to the Wildfire S!

It’s a very pretty phone...and a little confusing. I’ve become complacent with my iPhone so I’m going to have to spend some quality time with this phone to figure it all out.

I can say that it does a wonderful job of guiding you through basic setup and the 2.3-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 320x480 pixels – a step up from the 240x320 pixels of the original Wildfire - isn’t something to sneeze at.

I’m really excited to see what else it can do!

which contract would you recommend for a phone like this. I don't have wireless at home. I'm excited for all the cool features but I don't want to have to spend a fortune on connections. Is there any equivalent to the BB data packs?
