I was rather excited when I was asked to review the new Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet. Everybody knows I’m a devoted Apple fan girl and I was curious to see how this Android tablet would measure up.
My first thoughts were literally: “It’s no iPad”. But then again, I’m pretty sure that Lenovo wasn’t trying to create an iPad. The squared lines and definite corners vaguely reminded me of my trusty old IBM ThinkPad laptop with the little red mouse button in the middle of the keyboard. Unusually enough this appealed to me.

What really impressed me was that I was provided with a keyboard folio case, which literally transforms the tablet into a proper laptop. Making it super handy to use when more than just basic typing is needed. Other little things that immediately drew my attention were the micro-USB port, the full-sized USB port, SD card reader and HDMI output – all of which point squarely at incredible functionality and versatility.
I suspect Lenovo’s latest offering might just impress me.
