The AirCurve Play Amplify says it’s “like a loud-speaker for your iPhone” and this could not have been put any better.
The design has been precisely calculated so that the waveguide amplifies the sound from your iPhone’s built-in speaker which then makes it easier to hear your FaceTime calls, music and videos. You can clearly see this clever “wave” design just by turning the device over.

There are no cables attached. There are no batteries required. There is nothing that can “go wrong”!
The only trouble you may find yourself in is if you’ve overused the AirCurve Play Amplify that your iPhone battery is dead. But do not fear… There is space built into the device to allow you to plug in an iPhone charger so you can continue playing your favourite artist or chatting to your loved one via FaceTime.

The adjustable stand at the rear of the AirCurve Play Amplify allows you to stand your iPhone upright or on its side. I found that placing the Amplify so my iPhone was landscape made the sound feel more all-encompassing rather than just coming out the one side.

If you’re wondering how to increase or decrease the sound while in use, it’s simple too. While in “iPod” mode on your iPhone, you can increase or decrease the sound by sliding the volume button left (to decrease) or right (to increase).
This is definitely a nice-to-have little gadget. It is especially great if you like to listen to music at work but don’t have space for a radio or aren’t allowed to have loud music playing.
