I just love the iPhone’s camera, but if you’re anything like me, you get bored with just taking photos, and you want to be able to edit them and share them with others. There are many camera apps in the iPhone App Store, and the choices are bewildering. (You can also see Apple's top 10 photography apps for every country here.)
As much as I’d love to, I can’t lug my big DSLR camera everywhere with me, and now that I have an iPhone there’s no need to with these apps. In fact, I’m using them to complete an i365 project this year (a photograph every day for the year using my iPhone4).
1. Instagram
Price: Free
By far my favourite, Instagram allows you to take a photo (or use an existing photo in your library), adjust it with the most awesome set of filters that are so easy to use; and then share it with your friends. The app can share the photos on Twitter, or Facebook, or Tumblr or Flickr which means that all your friends can see the photos easily. In addition, it’s got a built in social network, where you can follow and comment on photos posted by friends and other photographers.

2. Camera+
Price: $0.99
Camera+ has a vast selection of filters and adjustment tools to make every photo you take with your iPhone look very professional. You can either take a photo from within the app, or edit a photo from your library. Unlike the Instagram, it retains the quality of the image as you edit. Camera+ also allows you to send your photos to your friends via email, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.

(This photo was taken with iPhone camera and edited with Toy Camera filter on Camera+ then shared using Instagram)
3. Hipstamatic
Price: $1.99
Now this is a cool toy. With Hipstamatic you can choose which type of old film camera and film you want to use, and it mimics the way those old “toy” cameras took photos. Like the other apps, you can then send your photo to your friends via e-mail or to Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook.

Other camera apps that I’ve had fun using include Retrocamera, CrossProcess and Phototreats.
