How To: Connect to Xbox LIVE using a PC

Why connect to Xbox LIVE through a PC if you can just do it through an Xbox? Because it makes managing your account just so much easier! We show you how.

Open your browser, enter www.xbox.com and click go! If you are connecting via your PC for the first time you might be asked which country you are in.  The country on Xbox LIVE might automatically be set to the United Kingdom. No worries; click on the country name at the bottom left of the screen.

1

A screen will come up with a list of countries.

2

Select South Africa. Now Xbox LIVE will always be set to South Africa. (Yes, even if you close the page and come back later.) Once you have selected your country, you can log in. Click on “Sign In” at the top right hand side of the page.

22

Enter your Windows Live ID and Password and click “Sign in”.  (If you don’t share your pc with someone else, tick the “Keep me signed in” box. This will make the process easier next time you go to Xbox LIVE. If you do however share your pc, it is best not to do this for security reasons.)

Now you are signed in!

From here you can manage your account. You will be able to buy Microsoft Points with which you can buy games, add-ons, videos, TV shows and more with Points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

5

  • Change your Avatar or Gamertag.

6

  • Check messages and find friends. And even buy games for your PC or Xbox!

8

Happy gaming!
