Dlvr.it is an online social media tool that creates pathways for you to automatically share information between social media sites like your blog, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and more.
In basics, dlvr.it takes Internet content (eg: a blog post) in the form of an RSS feed and redistributes it to locations of your choosing. But first, you need to be registered with this site to use it.
Creating an account and using this account is free. To start open your browser, enter http://dlvr.it/ and click go. The dlvr.it homepage is displayed. Here you have the option to “log in” or “sign up”. To sign up enter an email address and password, and then click the “sign up” button. Now you have been successfully registered!
After registering you automatically get navigated to the “first route” page. This is where you will be setting up your first feed link. Let’s start with adding a blog. Enter your blog URL into the text box on “step 1”. Note that you can choose when dlvr.it must start posting items.
(Tip: To avoid an overload of old posts being updated to the new destination, don’t select the “Post all items existing in feed now”.)
Click the “next” button.

Now you get to choose your destination. (Don’t worry that you are not allowed to choose multiple destinations. Each destination needs its own link.) I am selecting Twitter as the first destination.

Dlvr.it will need authorisation from you to access your Twitter account, to allow it to automatically create a tweet for you. If you do not want to allow dlvr.it access, click the “Cancel, and return to app” link or the “No, thanks” button. Note that your link will NOT be created and twitter will NOT be automatically updated. To allow access, click the “Authorize app” button.

Now that your route has been created, you are navigated to the management screen.

This is where you will be: Adding, Editing and Removing routes.
-
Adding.
There are two different ways to add a route. You can add a new Source and Destination by clicking the “+ Add Route” button.

Or you can add a second destination to the same Source by clicking the “+ add” button on the Destination block.

-
Editing.
To edit a Source mouse over the Source block, a menu will appear with the option to edit. The same applies to the Destination.

-
Removing or Pausing routes.
To pause a route (which makes is inactive) click the “active” button and vice versa to active a paused route. To delete a route click the little red button with the “x”.

You will also find a tab to view your stats. This is very cool as it displays information regarding the popularity of posts, who the *referrers were and the GEO (physical location) of people that followed the links.
*(A referrer is a click from another site that links to yours.)

Note that dlvr.it will never enable you to create a route that will cause a double update/post to a destination.
The best bit? Dlvr.it is free (for now) which means you can easily share your blog to social media platforms with success.
